Please read the following house rules to help ensure the proper use of the Guesthouse.

Arrival/Check-in:

We can only accommodate guests with reservations at the Guesthouse. Check-in is available from 14:00 to 19:00. For check-ins after 19:00, there is a surcharge of 1500 HUF per person. Guests must vacate the accommodation by 10:00 on the day of departure. If guests wish to occupy or vacate the room before or after the specified times, the Host may charge a fee. Early arrival: from 12:00, 1000 HUF per person, late departure: until 14:00, 4000 HUF per person, until 18:00, 8000 HUF per person. In this case, you can fully utilize the room. Guests can leave their luggage free of charge at the Reception 2 hours before/after arrival/departure.

Payment:

The accommodation fee is settled on the day of departure according to the agreed payment method. If for any reason you depart from the accommodation before the end of the pre-booked period, we are unable to reduce or refund the accommodation fee.

Breakfast:

We serve continental breakfast from 8:00 to 10:00. In the case of larger groups, it is served in 30-minute time slots, to avoid crowding at the buffet table, which will be coordinated with you in advance. Early risers can request a breakfast package from 6:30 to 7:30. From 7:30, a limited selection can be consumed at the tables. Late risers can also request a package after 10:00 until 11:00. Pre-ordered (by 7:30) snack packages can be prepared for daytime meals, including sandwiches, vegetables, cheese, fruit, yogurt, and soft drinks: 2800 HUF/package.

Events, Parties:

To maintain the usual tranquility, we do not support loud parties. An exception may be made if all guests of the Guesthouse belong to one group, but this is only possible until 22:00 for the sake of neighbors’ peace. The conservatory, terraces, breakfast room, garden pond, and the upstairs lounge of the Apple Tree House are “closed” at 22:00, meaning that umbrellas are lowered, pillows are put back, and lighting is reduced. From 22:00, we kindly ask everyone to remain in these areas quietly, without disturbing the rest of others.

Group Bookings:

In the case of group bookings, the Fairy Garden Guesthouse only communicates and has legal relations with the person making the reservation. Requests, instructions, cancellations, and payments from other persons cannot be accepted. We kindly ask for the deposit to be transferred in one sum. The services ordered by the group will be invoiced on a single bill. Splitting the total booking into multiple names or different payment methods for different individuals or companies is not possible. We cannot accept retroactive requests related to this.

Regarding Covid or other epidemic measures:

We apply rules compliant with the current Government regulations and kindly request compliance from our guests at the Guesthouse. Changes between the time of booking and arrival are not considered a force majeure situation (except for the declaration of Emergency), and the risk of this lies with the Guest!

Internet Use:

We provide free wifi internet access for laptops and mobile phones.

Parking:

There is space for 10 cars in the protected area next to the Pear Tree and Apple Tree Houses, as well as two disabled parking spaces in front of the Reception. The Walnut House parking lot can accommodate a maximum of 4 cars. Please inform us in advance if you require additional parking space per room.

Smoking: Smoking is only allowed in designated areas (terrace). Smoking is prohibited within 5 meters of the buildings and their entrances!

Use of furnishings: Please use the furnishings as intended. It is prohibited to remove furnishings from the rooms, including towels, blankets, and bedding! Rearranging furniture is only permitted with the owner’s consent.

Cleaning: Rooms are cleaned upon request for stays of at least 3 nights, with the placement of the door handle sign. Cleaning can be requested between 10:00 and 14:00. Towel change is done every 2 days for stays of at least 4 nights, and bedding change is done for stays of at least 6 nights.

Waste management: The trash bins placed in the rooms (non-closed) are for packaging of products purchased at the Guesthouse and for daily waste collection. The closed bin in the bathroom is for disposing of personal care waste. Please dispose of waste in a cost-effective manner (compacted, if possible). If a bin becomes full, please notify us, or if it’s not too much trouble, empty it into the 240-liter outdoor bin. Only packaging remnants of products purchased at the Guesthouse can be placed in the bins! We do not collect waste from products brought by our guests (bottles, boxes, packaging materials, etc.). If you wish to dispose of these, please deposit them in the outdoor collection bins, compacted!

Food / Drink: In the Fairy Garden Guesthouse, apart from the buffet breakfast, we serve dinner or other meals by prior arrangement. Additionally, any food brought into the Guesthouse must have prior approval. Storage of these items in the rooms is strictly prohibited! Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages can be obtained from the refrigerators provided in the Guesthouse and can be consumed anywhere on the premises. We provide glasses and handle storage and washing. Bringing in other beverages is only possible with prior approval.

Pets: The host accepts dogs, cats, and other animals with prior consent, conditions, and charges according to the current price list. With adherence to the dog-cat-friendly etiquette:

Should not be aggressive towards people and other dogs.

Must arrive well-groomed and protected against fleas.

Must have mandatory vaccinations, which the owner must be able to prove.

Dogs are only allowed on their owner’s provided bedding in the rooms; they cannot use any blanket or towel in the room for this purpose!

Dogs or cats cannot be left alone in the room. Please be considerate of other guests of the Guesthouse, whether two-legged or four-legged. Be aware that guests who do not like dogs may also arrive at our Guesthouse, so please keep the dog under control and do not allow it to approach anyone without permission.

In case of aggressive behavior, barking in the house, upon guest complaints, the owner will be asked to leave, citing a violation of the House Rules!

If the dog is in the garden, please pick up after it. The dog’s loud barking should not disturb guests who want to rest. Dogs are not allowed in the dining room. Any other animal can be brought into the Guesthouse according to prior agreement with the host.

The Fairy Garden Guesthouse is in a rural environment, and all our neighbors have dogs. They may bark, and unfortunately, this must be tolerated!

Pond and surroundings: The pond is not intended for swimming and is not open to guests for this purpose. The pond was primarily built for its appearance and atmosphere and is not equipped with safety features for swimming. Approach and use of the pond are at your own risk! Minor guests can only approach the pond in the presence of their Parent(s) (Guardian accompanying them), and responsibility lies solely with the Parent(s) (Guardian) in this regard. The Guesthouse does not provide supervision for this purpose. It is forbidden to throw, wash anything, or bathe dogs in the pond. The pond plants should not be picked or disturbed. The frogs and newts in the pond are harmless and should not be harmed or removed. Please note that the frogs give concerts every evening. During dry weather, the swallows in the area can only drink from this pond, so please do not disturb them at this time.

Quiet period: Our guests primarily come to rest, so we pay special attention to maintaining peace. We ask all guests not to disturb others between 22:00 and 8:00. After 22:00, all outdoor and indoor areas are closed, and guests can only be there with prior arrangement.

Other: Please note that the owner cannot be held responsible and does not pay compensation for damages resulting from events beyond their control (e.g., natural disasters, hailstorms, power outages, etc.).

Guests are financially responsible for damages resulting from improper use of the Guesthouse or violation of the House Rules. The Guesthouse does not assume liability for guests’ personal property!

As in any household, it is possible for something to break or malfunction beyond the guests’ control. If you notice any irregularities, please notify the staff to prevent any serious damage.
